Looking to buy wildlife-watching gear? Come and find out what best suits your needs at our Discovery Centre. You'd be hard pushed to find a better place to try out binoculars and telescopes than Rye Harbour Nature Reserve!

At our Optics Day you'll have the chance to try out a large range of Opticron binoculars, monoculars and telescopes, specifically designed for wildlife watching. There's no need to book, and Rob Laughton, Opticron’s expert, will be on hand to guide you through the different types of kit. Find out more about Opticron, a UK company, in our news article here.

There's plenty to see and do here at the Discovery Centre, we have a café and shop with views of the nature reserve. The beach and Gooders bird hide are within close walking distance, and there are walking trails too.

Buying a new bit of kit from our shop helps to support Rye Harbour Nature Reserve and the Discovery Centre, as profits go straight back into the work of Sussex Wildlife Trust.

Public Transport: The 313 Stagecoach bus travels from Northiam to Rye train station and on to Rye Harbour village.
