Led by volunteer guides from the Friends of Rye Harbour Nature Reserve

Drop in to the Gooders bird hide, just off the path between the car park and the sea. Friendly guides will be on hand through the day to show you the birds. There will also be guides at the Discovery Centre.

Suitable for adults and children, and ideal for beginners. Binoculars, telescopes and spotter sheets will be available for you to use.

This event is weather dependent, in the case of severe weather, please check the Friends of Rye Harbour Nature Reserve Facebook, and Rye Harbour Nature Reserve's Facebook and Instagram pages, before travelling, in case of cancellation. Or you can find out if the event is going ahead by calling the Discovery Centre reception desk on: 01797 360960.

The Friends contribute much to the work of the nature reserve, to find out more, visit the Friends of Rye Harbour Nature Reserve website.

Free event: No need to book. Donations to the Friends of Rye Harbour Nature Reserve are welcome.

Location: Just under half a mile (650m) walk towards the sea from Rye Harbour car park, past the Discovery Centre. See our website for how to find us.

Public Transport: The 313 Stagecoach bus travels from Northiam to Rye train station and on to Rye Harbour village.

Accessibility: The route to Gooders bird hide is easy for wheelchairs, and the hide is fully accessible.
Rye Harbour Discovery Centre is a wheelchair-friendly venue, with a step-free entrance ramp. Toilet facilities include two that are wheelchair accessible.
