Sussex Wildlife Trust Eastbourne Regional Group talk

Dr Sarah McKenzie will be taking us into the world of the Downland Shepherds & South Downs Sheep, on Thursday 17th November 2022.

We'll delve into the story of the Downland Shepherds and the tough life they led. We'll also discover the history of the South Downs sheep and how the breed was saved by the Rare Breeds Survival Trust and contrast the shearing speed of the hand clippers and the electric shearer.

I'm delighted to add that one of our members, Rachel Hills, will be bringing her spinning wheel and kindly letting us have a go!

The talk will be in the main hall of the Victoria Baptist Church, Eldon Road, Eastbourne, BN21 1UE, at 7.30pm, where there is a large, free, car park (it will not be recorded or broadcast online).Please note that there is a major change and that you must now book your ticket by registering for the talk through Eventbrite using the link, below. Registration is free but we will still charge on the door (we do have to pay for speakers and the hire of the hall!).
