Field sketching is a great way to increase your birding knowledge, as well as improve your drawing skills. In this short introductory course, we will look at how to master the general shapes of the different species seen at Rye Harbour, and practise some techniques to capture a sense of movement and authenticity in your sketches.

Jennifer Moore is a naturalist and artist based in East Sussex, and is the author and illustrator of the birdwatching logbooks on sale at the Discovery Centre. She also runs workshops and art classes in London and Sussex.

Materials provided.  

Suitable for all levels - including complete beginners.

Join us for a relaxed session after hours in the Discovery Centre, learning how to portray some of the avian residents and visitors at the Nature Reserve.
