The Nightjar is one of our most enigmatic birds. Each summer it arrives back in Sussex from Africa and its ethereal churring song is broadcast across our heathlands as the sun sets. This special evening event gives you the opportunity to discover the world of this extraordinary bird. 

The evening will start with an indoor session to learn about the life history and folklore surrounding this mysterious bird followed by a short drive to a nearby site on Ashdown Forest.
