Our half-day bird safaris are the perfect way to learn more about the wonderful birdlife and wild habitats found in Sussex. Each safari is aimed at beginners and gives you the chance to learn about birds and bird identification while visiting some of the best sites in Sussex at a time of year when they are at their best for birdwatching.

West Dean Woods hosts one of the largest areas of wild daffodils in the county and at this time they should be around their peak. This area can hold good numbers of farmland birds and they will be starting to establish territories at this time while there still be flocks of wintering finches around. It can be a great place for raptors as well and, if we’re, lucky Hawfinches are can sometimes be seen in the treetops.

No previous knowledge needed, just enthusiasm. These courses are popular. If they are fully booked please request to be placed on the waiting list as we may run more (email [email protected])
