Stanmer Village 10.30am – 12.30pm

Due to the popularity of our Wildlife Watch groups, we have expanded the age range of this Nature Tots group to include Wildlife Watch as well: Now suitable for 3–7 year olds with accompanying adults.

Bring your children along to help them explore the natural world. This will involve getting to know the forest school site, woodland and bushcraft activities!

This Nature Tots/Wildlife Watch club is based on Forest School principles, providing a wonderful opportunity for children aged 3-7 to experience and learn from nature. They will be encouraged to tackle hands-on outdoor activities, work co-operatively with others, and have an opportunity to gain a sense of achievement while developing social skills and boosting confidence. Sessions are themed around the changing seasons and discovering how to help local wildlife thrive. Each week will have a different theme based in a special forest school site. Children will learn to become confident in an outdoor setting, learn basic woodcraft skills and explore their natural surroundings with storytelling, games and lots of outdoor activities. It’ll provide a great opportunity for you and your child to have fun in the natural environment and will aim to encourage an early interest in wildlife.

Drink, snack and plenty of mud provided!

Meet on the grass by the church opposite Stanmer House. Stanmer Park is located near Falmer, to the north of Brighton, next to the University of Sussex. If you are using sat nav, the best post code is BN1 9QA, which is Stanmer House, within sight of our meeting start point. We will then head off to the location together, which is a 5-10 minute walk from the church.

There is a free public car park near the Church next to the farm yard.

Due to the wider age range, this group is not suitable for younger siblings aged under 3 years old. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Please wear outdoor clothing and walking boots/wellingtons.
