Taking inspiration from ancient Chinese poetry. Whether writing about landscapes, journeys or flora & fauna, the classical poets of ancient China wrote with a wonderful visual, almost painterly, clarity. In this workshop we'll read and discuss some of their work and explore some of their techniques in our own writing.

Chris Waters is a prize-winning poet, musician, story-teller, teacher and furniture maker. He has been writer in residence at the Appledore Book Festival, and has performed and run workshops at many venues. His new poetry collection, Dancing Satyr, was published by Mudlark in 2019.

Meet at the Information Cabin, Rye Harbour, TN31 7TX.
