We’re celebrating 50 years of Seaford Head Nature Reserve - the best spot to enjoy spectacular views of both the Seven Sisters and Cuckmere Valley. Join us to observe some of the bird species that call the reserve home, but also those that are on the move. As our own summer visitors gradually disappear, birds that spend the summer months at more northerly latitudes begin to pass through. Large numbers of warblers, chats and flycatchers often arrive on our coasts, on route to the warmer climes of Africa. Swifts have begun their epic non-stop flights south, whilst swallows and house martins begin to gather and wader migration steps up a gear. We'll keep our eyes peeled for all these and more. It'll also be the perfect time to look out for the invertebrates, mammals and reptiles that inhabit this wonderful chalk downland. 3km walk with some slopes.
