Wildlife Walk at Malling Down (06/06/19) Thursday, 6th June 2019 10:00 AM -

Join us to explore Malling Down, an exceptional example of rare chalk grassland found across the South Downs. These unique meadows are one of the richest habitats for flora but are unfortunately in huge decline. The vast diversity of plant species support thriving insect populations, including the spectacular Adonis Blue Butterfly. We’ll take a circular walk of around 4km, exploring the reserve to learn how this landscape has evolved and to look for the wildlife that occupies this fascinating habitat.

PLEASE NOTE: This walk includes some steep slopes. Please bring suitable footwear.

Meet on the bridge over the River Ouse on Cliffe High Street, Lewes.

Car Parking is available in Harveys Way (BN7 2BY - parking charges apply, please note we will be back for 12:30)
