Identifying Grasses, Sedges and Rushes Friday, 1st July 2016 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Day 1: Learn the anatomy of grasses and then spend the morning keying out specimens in the classroom. After lunch we will spend the rest of the day keying out species in the field around Woods Mill.

Day 2: Learn the anatomy of sedges and rushes and then spend the morning keying out sedges and rushes in the classroom. After lunch we will go into the field and key out sedges and rushes, as well as recapping on the grasses from day 1. Repetition is the key to success!

The course will be about half indoors and half outdoors. It would be useful to have had some botanical experience before attempting this course.
