The Night has a Thousand Eyeds.

Carmen sent in this photo and asked;

"This beauty was sitting on a door in The Depot yard a couple of weeks ago. Around 3 inches wide? Do you know what it is?"

It's an eyed hawk-moth. If it had felt threatened it would have raised its wings and flashed two eye spots.
