If you think that all teenagers are prone to lurking in shopping centres or skulking into darkened rooms to concentrate on 6 hours of solid gaming - think again!

Wildlife Rangers is aimed at 12-16 year olds who just like being outside! Does this sound like someone you might know? Believe it or not there are quite a few of them! So pass this on…..

Wildlife Rangers meet regularly – we get stuck into some ongoing conservation projects, ecology surveys, outdoor cooking and all round general well-being!

There might be an ipad or phone out, and that’s OK as we often record our findings!

There’s no need to sign up forever either – you can just come along and try it out and see where it takes you! But if it does grab your attention then you’ll be welcome come rain or shine at one of our wildlife sites.

The more you come the better the nature gets!

Not allowed to use the tools in the shed?! You are at Wildlife Rangers – we use plenty of loppers, saws and other countryside crafting tools – we can show you how to use them safely and might even make a few things whilst we’re there!

Start a fire? Yes of course!We nearly always have a fire at Wildlife Rangers and after all that conservation work you’ll deserve a tasty fire cooked treat!

Don’t know a thing about nature? Or are you an expert? It doesn’t really matter as we discover new things each time we meet. We might even trap a few mammals to record and release, or survey butterflies on a sunny day. There are plants to clear away and plants to protect, Wildlife Rangers learn this very quickly and become a valued part of the group.

So if you don’t mind getting muddy, like hand tools, love animals, plants and fresh air then join us for day of discovery – you’ll feel better for it!
