Season's Greetings from the Sussex Wildlife Trust

Thank you for supporting the Sussex Wildlife Trust this year.

Thanks to our members and supporters, we are protecting and restoring nature here in Sussex. Despite it being a difficult year there is so much we can all be proud of.

Some highlights of the year for me have been:

  • The Sussex Kelp Recovery Project is going from strength to strength and we are planning an amazing Kelp Summit for 2024.
  • At Woods Mill nature reserve, we’ve created shallow scrapes that will retain rain water. The scrapes will attract waders, Turtle Dove and House Martin next spring, and become a haven for dragonfly nymphs.
  • Our first ever Species Recovery Officer, Matt Phelps is now in post. Matt will be looking into the reintroduction of keystone species such as Beaver and Pine Marten.

Whether you are a member, volunteer or a supporter who has helped with donations, you are a vital part of everything we do.
