Legacies can play a vital role in securing the future of wildlife across our county.

Each year our work to protect and create wildlife-rich areas is given a tremendous boost through legacies. These generous gifts can mean the difference between saving a wildlife haven and losing it forever.

That's why, this week, we're asking people to consider leaving a gift to Sussex Wildlife Trust when making a will to coincide with Remember A Charity Week, which takes place from 10th-16th September.

More than 200 charities from around the UK, including The Wildlife Trusts, come together during the week to encourage more people to remember a charity when writing a will.

Gifts that are left in wills are an important source of income for us here at the Sussex Wildlife Trust as they help us to take a long term approach to our planning and strategic investment. Any size donation can make a real difference; helping us to buy and protect important wildlife sites, manage our existing nature reserves, inspire young people to value the wonders of the natural world, and to speak up for wildlife to minimise the effects of planning development on our natural heritage. By leaving a gift in your will for Sussex Wildlife Trust, we can direct funds where they are needed most.
