Ponies at Burton Pond

Three Exmoor Ponies will be grazing Welch’s Common at Burton and Chingford Ponds from mid-April 2021 for 4-6 weeks. 

They will be helping keep the grassland in good condition for the very rare Field Crickets that live and breed there.  Field Crickets are a Back From the Brink project species and more information can be found here

The ponies are docile but not tame.  Please do not try to feed them and please keep dogs under close control. Thank you.
