Sussex Wildlife Trust is looking for 12 beautiful and awe-inspiring wildlife and landscape photographs to grace the pages of their 2017 online calendar. The subject matter is entirely your choice providing it follows the theme, ‘Wild Sussex’.

Amaze us with the ladybirds in your garden, migrating wildfowl, macro spiders, flowers carpeting a woodland floor, colourful fungi, clouds of downland butterflies or a sleeping hedgehog in the park. Show us the wild places that are special to you. It could be high on the Downs, deep in the woods or your favourite nature spot in a town or on the coast.

First prize is £100 cash and the runner-up will receive a Mark Greco designed mug and tea towel set featuring a common tern or oystercatcher. Pictures taken by the 12 finalists will appear in the Sussex Wildlife Trust’s 2017 online calendar, and the overall winning image will feature in their members’ magazine, monthly enews and on their website and other social media. Once selected, the 12 finalists will be voted for by the public, to choose the overall winner and the runner-up.

You can enter up to three images and they must all be in a landscape format and a minimum of 2MB in size. All images must be digital – no slides or prints please. Judges are professional wildlife photographer David Plummer and the editor of Sussex Wildlife Trust's Wildlife magazine, Amanda Reeves.
