Photo Competition Vote Open

Twelve superb wildlife and landscape images have been chosen from the hundreds entered in this year’s Sussex Wildlife Trust ‘Joy of Nature’ photo competition. Now it’s up to you to decide the overall winner, so look through the finalists below and vote for your favourite by 29 October.

Professional wildlife photographer and author, David Plummer, who selected the final 12 said: ‘We were overwhelmed by the quality of entries this year and it was a tough job to choose the finalists from over 500 photographs.’

  • First prize is a £100 cash for the winner of the public vote.
  • Runner-up will receive a Sussex Wildlife Trust Calendar, two packs of Christmas cards and Wildlife Top Trumps from the Sussex Wildlife Trust's shop.

The final 12 pictures will feature in Sussex Wildlife Trust’s 2018 online calendar, available to download in December. The overall winning image will feature in their members’ magazine, monthly enews and on their website. The final 12 images will also be displayed at the Trust's AGM on 11 November in Shoreham.

    They are all really good images but the rapidly retreating turnstones is my favourite ….a great action shot of a bird I only normally see wandering up the shoreline in Shoreham
