Leaky Dams

Pupils from Chailey School had some fun today creating leaky dams on Chailey Common to slow flood flows in the River Ouse. Effectively mimicking what beavers used to do, they built nine leaky dams and a pocket pond to help slow down and store flood water in their local landscape.

Thanks to all who took part including Renzo and our new trainee Cleo.
