The Graffham Down Trust manages six flower-rich chalk downland reserves on the South Downs near the village of Graffham. These reserves are managed for native wildlife with an aim to conserve, enhance and to re-introduce species of plants and wildlife. 

The Graffham Down Trust volunteers hold monthly working parties from October to April. On Saturday, 12 February 2022 The Graffham Down Trust will be teaming up with the Sussex Wildlife Trust and we would love to have you join us. We will be cutting more coppice areas to aid our Dormouse population, and allow sunlight to reach the ground to wake up woodland flowers.

Work parties meet at St. Giles Church in Graffham at 9:45am. The postcode for your SatNav is GU28 0NJ. Pass the school and church and park at the end of the road.

You will need a pair of gloves, strong shoes or boots and warm clothing. Most tools will be provided as well as tea and coffee and some jolly good cakes.

You can make the steep climb up to the work site or we can provide rides. Masks will need to be worn in vehicles on the ride up.
