Lime Kiln Cafe Volunteer - Rye

Overview of the role:
To support our busy Lime Kiln Café team in delivering an outstanding café experience for our visitors. The Lime Kiln Café is an exciting new venture in Rye Harbour Discovery Centre. The café is open from 10am till 4pm every day and serves morning snacks, light lunches, a selection of scrumptious cakes and beverages. We are seeking volunteers with a friendly helpful manner and a passion for food and drink to join the team. The café is run by staff with support from volunteers in different roles.
Type of tasks you will be involved with:
Meeting and greeting customers and directing them to the servery and tables. Table clearing and cleaning. Washing up using the industrial dish washer in the kitchen. Presentation and re-stocking of café items. Talking with customers about their experiences at the Discovery Centre and on the Nature Reserve. Opportunities to train in food preparation and service if you wish
Experience/Skills Required:
Essential: Friendly manner. Happy working as part of a team. Likes keeping spaces clean and tidy. Interest in food and drink.
Days/Times we would like you to be available:
Monday to Sunday Morning time 10am till 1pm OR Afternoon time 1pm till 4pm
